He was born September 27, 1951, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, son of the late Andrew James Elsenpeter and Maxene Lois Reed.
Jack worked as a diesel mechanic. He also loved spending time working on old cars, getting the engines to run again. He enjoyed fishing and card games, and loved drag racing.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy Elsenpeter and Barry Elsenpeter; and his sister, Cheryl Elsenpeter.
Jack is survived by four children and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held private by the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, online at support.woundedwarriorproject.org.
