Jack Evans Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by South Park Funeral Home and Cemetery - Pearland on Sep. 24, 2025.
Jack William Evans, 67, passed away on September 22, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Born on October 12, 1957, in Florence, Arizona, Jack lived a life filled with service, faith, and joyful moments that touched the lives of many. A proud veteran of the United States Army, Jack served his country with steadfast dedication. His time in uniform reflected a deep sense of honor and commitment-values that continued to guide him long after his military service ended. Jack's Christian faith within the non-denominational tradition was a cornerstone of his life. He lived his beliefs with quiet strength and humility, offering spiritual encouragement to those around him and drawing from his convictions during both joyful and challenging times. Those fortunate enough to know Jack will remember his sharp wit and infectious humor. Whether through a clever quip or a well-timed joke, he had an uncanny ability to bring laughter into any room. His light-hearted spirit left an indelible mark on all who shared in his company. He found happiness in life's simple pleasures-casting a line while fishing in peaceful waters, dancing with unrestrained joy, or settling in for a good movie. These everyday delights reflected Jack's appreciation for connection and contentment. Jack is lovingly remembered by his father, Dale Evans, by his sister Susan Stone, and by his daughters Jessica Grice, Jennifer Hartely, Dawn Bellau, and Jennifer Maggio. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Evans; and his wife, Barbara Evans. A small graveside service honoring both Jack and Barbara's life will be held on October 10, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at SouthPark Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1310 N. Main St., Houston, Texas.
