GORDON — Jack Foland, age 79, of Gordon, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021, following an extended illness.
Jack is a retiree from Duriron in Dayton and also a retiree from over 50 years of service to the Village of Gordon. Jack was a wonderful man who touched the hearts of so many people. He will be deeply missed by all the family and friends he leaves behind.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Alice Foland; wife, Mary Foland; son, Jack Foland, Jr.; brothers, Dick, Woody, and Ronnie Foland; and nephews, Bobby Foland and Josh Clark.
Jack is survived by his son, Donald E. (Reneé) Foland; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Foland; grandchildren, Taylor Foland, Callee Foland; great-grandson, Xavier; brother, Dennis Foland; sisters, Lyla "Kim" McCoy, Sandy Rice, Peggy Clark, Dana Clark; special nephew, Shannon Smith and his son, Jackson Smith; several nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 20, 2021, 11 a.m., at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St. Arcanum, OH 45304. Burial will follow in Royal Oak Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2021, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Kreitzer Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack's memory can be made to Ohio's Hospice of Miami County, 3230 N. County Rd. 24A, Troy, OH 45373.

Jack was literally, "Gordon Ohio. He done so much through the years for the town and everyone in it. Always took time to speak and would go out of his way to help others. A very humble, hardworking man and we are at a great loss. May God have a place for him, as he is more than deserving. Don, I am sorry for your loss.
