Jack Edwin Follis, 77, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Jack was born on February 10, 1949, in Lincoln, Illinois, to the late Jack Edward Follis and Dorothy Gifford. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, an experience that remained a meaningful part of his life.

A hardworking man, Jack spent much of his life as a farmer before retiring. He found joy in the simple things - singing, working with his hands through carpentry, and sharing stories that brought laughter to those around him. Known for his sense of humor and gift for storytelling, Jack will be remembered as a comedian at heart and a devoted family man who deeply loved his family.

He is survived by his sons, Travis Follis (Kelly) of Pekin, Illinois; Jeremey Follis (Trudy) of Homestead, Florida; his daughter, Ashley Allen (Joe) of Parrish, Florida; his cherished grandchildren, Maya, Keign, Caleb, Josiah, Gracelyn, and Ava; and his brothers, Jim Follis (Sharon), Jerry Follis (Maureen), Bob Follis (Barbara), and Jon Follis (Debbie) of Lincoln, Illinois.

Jack was preceded in death by his son, Erik Follis, and his parents.

Burial with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, April 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Florida National Cemetery. 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Jack’s memory to Cornerstone Hospice Foundation at www.cornerstonehospice.org.

Jack’s legacy of laughter, love, and dedication to his family will live on in all who knew him.
