Jack Ellis Gemmer, age 80, of Morning View, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024. He was born on October 3, 1944, in Covington, Kentucky, to Wilbur and Virginia Gemmer (nee Burket).
Jack was a dedicated worker and the owner of Gemmer & Sons Construction, where he took great pride in his work in the construction industry. He served as a firefighter with the Newport Fire Department, demonstrating his commitment to helping others. Jack cherished his time with his partner, Norma Kroth, and was a loving caretaker of his beloved dogs.
He is preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Gemmer; his mother, Virginia Gemmer; and his sister, Marjorie Hobbs. Jack is survived by his significant other, Norma Kroth; his sons, Rob Gemmer and Jack Gemmer, Jr.; his grandsons, Ezra Gemmer and Kenton Gemmer; his sister, Nancy Vanmeter; his brother, William Gemmer; and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
