Jack Leon Green, 87, born on August 25, 1938, in Gaston County, NC, passed away peacefully at his residence on January 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a proud member of his community. Jack's tenure in sales in the machine parts industry was marked by dedication and commitment, a career he cherished until his retirement.

As a Godly man, Jack deeply loved the Lord. He found joy in preaching and singing the gospel, fervently sharing his faith and witnessing to others about God. His passion for his beliefs was evident not only in his words but also in the way he lived his life. Jack was a proud member of the Dallas Church of the Living God, where he treasured the fellowship of his Pastor and church family.

Family was at the core of Jack's existence. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 49 wonderful years, Gloria Bailey Green; his children, Lori (Tim) Hamrick, Jody (Donna) Green, Debbie Martin, Jeanie (John) Baldwin, and Tony Butner; along with his sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Jack's legacy will live on not just through his love for his immediate family but through the countless lives he inspired through his faith and kindness.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Floyd "Jack" McKinley Green and Helen Beatrice Walker Green; his grandchildren, Amber Green and Eric Green; his son, Richard D Green; and his sisters, Jerie Green and Susie Ballard.

Jack had a zest for life that extended beyond his family and faith; he enjoyed playing golf whenever he had the chance. His generosity of spirit and unwavering dedication to his loved ones and his beliefs created a strong, lasting impact on all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home and Cremation in Gastonia, NC. A Celebration of Life service will take place the following day, Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 1:30 PM, also at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Pastor James Stacks and Pastor Jerry Willard. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Veterans section with military honor. Pallbearers will be Clarence Thomas, Tim Hamrick, Jody Green, Kent Hunter, Tim Spicer, Eric Spicer and Kyle Martin.

Jack Leon Green will be remembered as a man of faith, love, and family, whose spirit will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known him.

In lieu of flowers, Jack would like for memorials to go to his church, Dallas Church of the Living God, 603 Lorraine Street, Dallas, NC 28034
