Jack Highfill Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Weeks' Enumclaw Funeral Home on Jan. 28, 2025.
It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a truly remarkable man, Jack Highfill, who took his final flight on January 26, 2025, at the age of 93. Born in Walla Walla, WA, on November 18, 1931, Jack was a man of steadfast dedication and loyalty, whose generosity knew no bounds. His unwavering support for his loved ones was a testament to his strong character and his deep-rooted love for his family. Jack was a beacon of strength, resilience, and optimism, never heard to complain about anything. His life was a living embodiment of the Lutheran verse, "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32)
Jack's life was a tapestry of incredible accomplishments, woven together with his passion for flying and horses. His early years were spent as a crop duster and flight instructor, before he took to the skies as an FAA Inspector. His dedication and passion for the aerospace industry were unparalleled, making him a respected figure in his field. Jack was not only a career man but also a dedicated family man, who found immense joy in camping and spending quality time with his family. His love for horses was evident, and he often combined this passion with the joy of family outings. He is survived by his children Rick Highfill, Robin Conner, Ronda Highfill, and Sheri Litvinenko, 7 grandchildren, Rochelle, Adam, Randy, Danny, Zach, Alea, and Anna, 9 great grandchildren, Sophia, Zoey, Lucas, Kingston, Jackson, Axton, Archie, Awx, Jayne, and one more great grandchild on the way. He is preceded in death by his wife Lorraine, parents, Fred Highfill, and Clara Highfill, and sons, Randy and Rod.
In the wake of Jack's passing, we invite you to share your memories and photos of him on his memorial page. Your tributes will serve as a testament to Jack's impactful life and the profound effect he had on us all. Let us remember Jack Highfill not with sorrow, but with the joy and warmth he brought into our lives. A small service for the family is planned at his graveside in Enumclaw's Evergreen Memorial Park.
