Jack Eugene Holt, Jr., 61, of Marion, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.
He was born in Creswell, Oregon on May 23, 1962 to the late Jack Eugene Holt, Sr. and Shirley Lamb Farnsworth. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Adelia Holt; two brothers, Jason Holt and Joel Holt; and one sister, Linda Farnsworth.
Jack was employed at Auria Solutions for 27 years. He truly loved his job, and he had a smile on his face every day around the workplace. He was a fan of sci-fi movies and cars. He most recently enjoyed his new BMW. Jack was known to be friendly everywhere he went, and he will be remembered for his love for his grandchildren. He was a proud veteran, having served in both the U.S. Army and Navy.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Debra Patrick Holt; three children, Michael Holt, Allison Holt (Justin), and Christopher Holt; two grandchildren, Gunner Matthews and Axel Matthews; three sisters, Patty Rhea, Laura Van Riper, and Cheryl Harmon (Randy); two brothers, Mitch Adams (Tina), and Mark Adams; and his sister-in-law, Jeanette Patrick Poteat. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to special friends, Kim Bartlett, Steve Clarkson, and Keith Nail.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory.
