Frank Winfield Holt, Jr.,63, passed away at his residence in Gastonia, North Carolina, on September 15, 2025.

Frank was born in Skowhegan, Maine on March 4, 1963 to the late Frank, Sr. and Arlene B. Holt. In addition to his parents, Frank is proceeded in death by his wife, Linda Holt, and his children, Stephanie and Andrew Holt. Frank is survived by his siblings, Ezra Holt, Ila Libby, Ann Holt, and Lee Holt.

Frank was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard in Skowhegan, Maine serving two tours in Bosnia. His antics provided laughter to boost moral. Frank had a connection to wood and would carve hands, guns, etc., while posted on guard duty. Frank worked 32 years as a custodian for S.A.D. #54 in Skowhegan, Maine, being loved by teachers and students alike. Anyone could distinguish where his area of responsibility began as the floors shone. He took pride in keeping his area of the school exceptionally pristine causing the teachers to desire him for their areas. His personable, joking attitude kept the atmosphere fun.

Frank's interests were full of living life to the fullest and creative hard work. Frank had a reputation for his style of humor, making friends within minutes of meeting him. He enjoyed dancing and singing Karaoke, while making lots of friends at the local V.F.W. dance clubs under the influence of drinking only cranberry juice. He creatively crafted fantastic woodwork ornaments, carved detailed vehicles, furniture pieces, and built diverse structures for friends and family demonstrating his diligent work ethic. He cut woodlots, scraped metal, played lottery and scratch tickets, and sold items at yard sales, while being generous to people in turn to those who blessed him in those endeavors. He believed in good karma, and speaking into the world what he wanted to happen, and that "what he needed would come to him" in his daily path.

A memorial service will be held at Winslow V.F.W. Post located at 175 Veterans Dr., Winslow, Maine 04901 on October 12th, Sunday, beginning with a 1:00 pm luncheon and memorial service following at 2:00 pm. Pot luck style luncheon. Please help with your favorite dish.
