**Obituary for Gary Leon Summitt**
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Leon Summitt, who left us on September 20, 2025, in Bessemer City, North Carolina. Gary was born on November 22, 1960, in North Carolina, and spent his life making a mark in the world of plastic fabrication as a skilled plastic engineer with Roechling Industrial.
A dedicated family man, Gary is survived by his loving spouse, Ginny Summitt, and his cherished daughter, Harley Rush; siblings, Carol Clark, Suzie Summitt, Dale Summitt, and Charlie Summitt; friends, Bo Finger, and Calvin Hannah, and Ted Knapp. He will be remembered for his warm spirit, unwavering dedication, and his knack for making those around him smile.
Gary's life will be celebrated, and details for the memorial service will be announced soon. Friends and family will gather in remembrance of the laughter and love he brought into their lives. In honor of his wishes, his remains will be cremated, with disposition taking place at 5002 S York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
Let's come together to share stories and celebrate the wonderful memories we all hold of Gary. He may have left this world, but the love he shared will remain in our hearts forever.
Gary was preceded in death by parents, Leon Summitt and Emily Summitt.
