Chae Pun "Kim" Redd

Chae Pun "Kim" Redd, 87, of Gastonia, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2026, at her residence.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, on January 3, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Dolsun Lee and Dongee Kim. Kim was a devoted member of Ridge Baptist Church in Gastonia.

Kim was known for her generous heart and her willingness to help anyone in need. She deeply loved her family and took great pride in being organized and caring for those around her.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Jeannie Davis (Jeff), Sharon Moody (James), and Angel Lucas; her brother, Inbae Kim (Sandy); her sisters, Bongson Longnecker (Charles) and Jaeson Frye; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Sharae, Ashaya, Makayla, and Hannah; and eight great-grandchildren, Erin, Matthew, Miles, Millicent, Maxton, Danielle, Evangeline, and Maliki.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, located at 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Pastor Todd Terry will officiate.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.

Dylan Farmer, Austin Farmer, Jeffrey Davis, James Moody, Matthew Lanier, and Ted Adams will serve as pallbearers.
