Mark Allen Fagala, born on August 6, 1971, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, passed away at his residence on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Mark was a cherished member of his community, known for his engaging personality and dedication to those around him. He was the proud owner of Fagala Biohazard Specialist, serving clients throughout North Carolina, and previously owned Fagala Transport Service.
Mark's upbringing was deeply rooted in his local community, having grown up attending St. Michael's Catholic Church. He was a proud graduate of Ashbrook High School, where he established many lifelong friendships. Known for his caring and fun-loving nature, Mark had a remarkable ability to bring joy to those he encountered. He devoted much of his time to serving the fire department, reflecting his commitment to helping others and his strong sense of duty.
He was kind hearted and a giver. He was always smiling and never met a stranger. Mark was a volunteer firefighter and always ready to help anyone in any way. His clients with Fagala Biohazard Specialist hoarding or death cleanup wrote him so many letters of how not just his clean helped them but the kindness he extended to them was above and beyond. He was joyful. And of course he was proud of his children and loved them dearly. He volunteered at Dallas Ministries Food Bank.
Mark was the father of two wonderful children, Lillie Grace, and Cameron (Maggie), whom he considered to be his proudest accomplishments. He took immense joy in spending time with his family and friends, creating lasting memories that will be cherished forever. His brotherhood also extended to his siblings: John Fagala (Jill), of Monroe, and Richard "Ricky" Fagala of Wilmington. He maintained a close bond with his best friend and ex-wife, Tina. He also loved his nieces and nephew dearly – Ethan, Caroline (Eric), Kelli (Luca), Micah – and a great nephews, Jonathan and Parker, and many wonderful friends who will truly miss him.
Mark is preceded in death by his loving parents, Otis and Lillie Parker Fagala, and his sister, Lisa Fagala. His legacy of love, laughter, and community service will continue to inspire all who knew him.
