Jack Darrell Horton, 82, of Houston MN, passed away on June 27, 2025.
Jack was born on July 14, 1942, in Minneapolis MN, to Carlos and Violet (Frost) Horton. On March 3, 1979 Jack married Judy Eaton, the love of his life. The two were blessed with 5 children. From a young age Jack walked strongly in his faith, accepting Jesus Christ as his lord and savior. This was the foundation Jack and Judy built their marriage on, and based their family around. Jack was a long-time member of the Houston Baptist Church. Jack enjoyed bowling, playing baseball, cheering on the Boston Red Sox, but most of all spending time with his family.
Jack is survived by his wife Judy; children: Julie Fakler (Paul Swanson), Karen (Justin) Peters, Matthew (Hilery) Horton, Paul (Jessica) Horton, Elizabeth Horton (Peter Onsgard); grandchildren: Carlos Horton, Dylan Horton, Johnny Horton, Helena Horton, Simon Horton, Ezekial Horton, Zephananiah Horton, Violet Horton, Fin Peters, and Henry Peters.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Violet Horton; sisters, Claudette Horton, Sharon (Dan) Reardon; and brother Larry Horton; and furry friend Petey.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at the Houston Baptist Church, in Houston, MN, with visitation starting at 11:00am until the time of service. Hoff Funeral Home – Houston, MN is assisting the family.
