Jack Hughes, age 95, joined his loving Savior in heaven on April 26,2025. Jack was born in Cherry Hill, AR, June 12, 1929, to Monroe and Mollie Hughes. He married the love of his life, Ida 'Earlene' White, in 1953. Jack proudly served as Sargent in the Korean War. He was a Deacon at Dallas Avenue Baptist Church for over 50 years. Jack was primarily a businessman but his love was trucking. He enjoyed driving across country into his early 80's. Along with his strong work ethic, Jack cherished his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends. He loved to share the many stories of his life and adventures.
Mr. Jack Lee Hughes is preceded in death by his, beloved wife, Earlene Hughes; parents, Monroe and Mollie Hughes; brothers and sisters-in-law, Delbert and Jewel Hughes, MH Hughes and Earlene Hughes; and by his son-in-Law, Mike Quillin.
He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Quillin; son, Randy Hughes and daughter in-law, Janis Hughes; grandchildren, Steve Quillin, Amber Mullins (husband JB Mullins), Jeremy Quillin, Melissa Hughes Folkers (husband Jason), Lindyn Hughes and Jesica Campbell; great-grandchildren, Stone Quillin, Justice Quillin, Penny Mullins, James Mullins, Claire Cains, Hudson Folkers, and Marilyn Hughes; great-great grandson, Axel Quillin; as well as by a host of precious and loving nieces and nephews, other family and friends too numerous to mention.
Services for Mr. Jack Lee Hughes will be held Saturday, May 03, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at the Beasley-Wood Chapel in Mena, Arkansas. Brother Max Deaton will be officiating under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, May 2, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Pinecrest Memorial Park in Mena, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Rusty Hughes, Tony Hughes, Steve Quillin, Lindyn Hughes, Cameron Manes, and Mike White. Honorary Pallbearers are Jeremy Quillin, William (Punk) White, Cody Hughes, Teal Hughes, and Colin White.
