Jack King Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 28, 2026.
Jack King, age 73, of Eagle Rock, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

Born on June 12, 1952, in Marshfield, Missouri, Jack was the son of James Edward and Flora Roberta (Myers) King. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, a chapter of his life that reflected his strong sense of duty, loyalty, and patriotism.

On December 6, 2004, Jack married Carol McQueary, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Together they shared 21 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.

Jack lived life with a deep appreciation for freedom, family, and the simple joys that made each day meaningful. He felt most at peace on his motorcycle, chasing the thrill of the open road. When he wasn't riding, he could often be found in the garage, happily tinkering with hot rods and engines, always working on his next project.

Some of Jack's most treasured moments were spent shooting guns with his children and loved to watch football and baseball. He was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Cincinnati Reds, rarely missing a chance to cheer them on. Above all, Jack cherished time with his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of his life.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol King, of Eagle Rock, Missouri; four sons,Jason King of Bergman, Arkansas, Nick Procino of Eagle Rock, Missouri, Kelby Procino of Galena, Kansas, and Sean King of Denver, Colorado; three daughters, Jessica Procino of Springfield, Missouri, Jaclynn Procino of Denver, Colorado, and Corrina Burton of Harrison, Arkansas; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Rance King of Hollister, Missouri.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project and entrusted to White Funeral Home and Crematory.
