Jackie “Jack” Leslie aged 76 passed away November 10, 2025 at Central Wyoming Hospice surrounded by family after a short illness. He was born to Harold and Pauline (Stoneking) Leslie of Evansville, WY on December 3, 1948. He was the youngest of three boys. He was raised in Evansville and graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in 1968.

Jackie spent his childhood learning to be a mechanic, welder, and fixer of all things from his father and uncles. He used to play in the salvage yard at Leslie Brother’s Auto Wrecking as a child. As an adult he continued to constantly tinker with things and was still working on cars in his shop up until his death.

He married Carol Cone in 1973 and to this marriage was born Matt Leslie and Jennifer Leslie Hicks. Together Jack and Carol built a dome house in Brookhurst, WY. They later divorced after 48 years of marriage. Jackie enjoyed time with family and especially his granddaughters. Much time was spent on the lake at Pathfinder or riding ATV’s.

Jack was a mechanic by trade and worked for many companies over the years including Salt Creek Freightways and Crown Energy Technologies. He also operated his own shop, JJL Repair for many years.

He loved old cars, especially the Ford Pinto. He was working on refurbishing one that he unfortunately never finished. He was a true “Jack of All Trades" and especially enjoyed helping family and friends in any way he could: rebuilding cars, woodworking, welding, or helping with home repairs.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brothers Jim Leslie (Gail) and John Leslie (Jan), his son Matt Leslie (Jamie), his daughter Jennifer Hicks (Robby), niece Jamie (John) Cardine, and his granddaughters. He is also survived by his long time friend, Bob Wells; along with many cousins

The family would like to thank Central Wyoming Hospice for the amazing care they provided to Jack. Cremation has taken place and in accordance with his wishes there will be no services at this time.
