It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jack Randal Love Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, on Tuesday, February 17th, 2026. Jack was born on Thursday, February 15th, 1951, in Richmond Hill, Georgia, and was a longtime resident of Ellabell, GA.
Jack's life was a tapestry of dedication, love, and passion. A graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he spent 29 years working as a Joyner Room Operator at Stone Container, where he also served as Vice President of the union. His leadership and commitment to his colleagues were as strong as his love for his family.
Upon retiring from Stone Container, Jack continued his professional journey by partnering with his brothers, Frank and Benny, to run the family-owned BP Tile Company for 15 successful years.
Jack was a great storyteller whose voice brought life to tales of yesteryear, and he had a deep appreciation for John Wayne movies and the thrill of watching "Swamp People." An avid fisherman, he often sought peace and quiet along the banks of local waters, fishing rod in hand.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Donna Mae Love; his two sons, Jack Randal Love Jr. (Sallie) of Garden City and James Love of Ellabell; his cherished daughter, Jacqueline "Jackie" Love of Ellabell; and his step-daughter, Traci Sniff (Alex) of Rincon. Jack also leaves behind his brother, Frank Love of Pooler, and sister, Peggy Starling (Rick) of Springfield. His legacy continues through his 9 grandchildren, Joy, Morrigan, Makayla, Dennis, Harley, James, Ava, Rile, and Alex Jr., as well as 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jack was preceded in death by his first wife of 13 years, Joy Marva Love; his parents, Oscar Love and Myrtle Johnson Love; his son Randy Love; and his brother, Benny Love.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jack's life. A visitation will be held at Flanders Powell Funeral Home & Crematory in Pembroke, GA, on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 pm in the same location.
Arrangements are entrusted to Flanders Powell Funeral Home & Crematory. While his family grieves his loss, they are comforted by the memories they hold dear and the lasting impact he made on those who knew and loved him. Jack's storytelling, strength, and unwavering commitment to those around him will be cherished forever.
Rest in peace, Jack Randal Love Sr. Your story lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of hearing it.
