John "Jack" McGlinchey, age 80, of Sterling Heights, MI, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025. He was born on August 11, 1944, in Mount Clemens, MI, Jack was the beloved son of Edward and Margaret McGlinchey. A proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Jack lived a life of service, love, and dedication to his family and community. Jack was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Felicity, whom he married on June 12, 1965, in Northampton, England. They were married for 38 years before she passed away in March 2003. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne, married on September 18, 2005, at Saint Matthias Catholic Church in Sterling Heights. In their 19 plus years together, they built a life filled with love, mutual respect, and shared memories. Their marriage was a source of strength and companionship that endured lovingly until the time of his passing. He is survived by his loving children: Ed (Jody), Theresa (Craig), Corey, Jim (Vanessa), Jacki (Steve), and Julie (Dan). He was a devoted grandfather to Shayla, Tyler (Keirsten), Samantha (Joseph), Emma, Justin, Josh, Eliana, Lillian, Aiden, Olivia, Nathan, Ezekiel, Emily, Charlotte, and Elizabeth. He was also a great-grandfather to Charlotte and Noah. Jack also leaves behind his siblings: Edward (Angie), Patrick (Patty), Thomas (Patricia), Kathleen (Mark), and Margaret. He is also predeceased by his loving siblings Roseanne, Maureen, as well as his brother-in-laws Richard (Maureen) and Peter (Margaret). Jack found immense joy in spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as his large extended family. He gave so much love and care to so many people in his life. He was always there to offer guidance, love, care and a healthy laugh. He will be dearly missed, but his family and friends are strengthened knowing he is resting in peace. A Resurrection Mass will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Matthias Catholic Church, 12311 19 Mile Road, Sterling Heights, officiated by Father Francisco Restrepo. A luncheon reception will be hosted by the family at the Italian American Cultural Society, 43843 Romeo Plank Road, Clinton Township at 12:30pm. Inurnment at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly Township, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org.

I just heard of Jack´s passing. I worked with him at Lifetime Fitness and will always remember him for his genuine smile and friendly demeanor. He will missed by many.
