Jack V Miller

Jack Vernon Miller, husband of Sandra Miller, of Daphne, Alabama passed away peacefully at home on January 16th, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Jack was born in Beckley WV, on October 21st, 1938 to Winfred and Rosalie. Jack attended Indiana University, where he studied Accounting. Throughout his life Jack was a man of many talents and trades. From building pianos and organs, to owning a marina and building boats, then owning a saloon (were he perfected his ribs recipe), to getting his pilot's license and flying any chance he got, to then becoming a full scale horse farmer (big horses first and then miniature horses), to running an electronics business that provided the opportunity to travel to places like Mexico and Venezuela, Jack made life fun. He loved catfish fries, "pigs are precious", plane rides, and many adventures with his family, including a sinking ship.

Jack loved a good steak ("rare") and corn on the cob, NASCAR, Alabama Football, listening to music (sometimes a little too loud), treasured traveling in his RV, but found his greatest joy in time spent with his family. Whether on the water, in the sky, or on the road, life with Jack was always memorable.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy; his stepchildren Joe (Belinda), Julie; his children Jay (Maggie), Jeff, Jason (SaraRuth), and Jessica (Andrew); his grandchildren Nick (Chasity), Madison (Brad), Cypress, Poppy, Colin, Teddy, Reece, and Westy; and his great-grandchildren Jon, Valley, and Mercy; as well as many beloved extended family, nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by a sister, Ann Louise (Weetsie) and her husband Charlie; a son, Jon (Shirley); and two great grandsons, Todd and Miller Jax.

We take comfort today knowing he is at peace and now resting in the arms of Jesus.
