Jack Oertle Obituary
Jack G. Oertle, 90, of Carrier Mills, IL died Wednesday June 14, 2023 at 11:34 am at Harrisburg Medical Center. Graveside services will be held Sunday June 18, 2023 at 2 pm at Salem Cemetery. There will be no visitation, all friends should go directly to the cemetery. Pastor Ryan Beck will officiate. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family.
He was born on June 3, 1933 in Chicago, IL to the late Chester and Alice E. (Stonum) Oertle.
He married the former Alice Anita Russell on March 7, 1981 and she survives.
Jack was an Army Veteran. He worked over 25 years as a Machinist in St. Louis, MO. He then worked and retired as a Machine Shop Instructor at Vienna Correctional Center where he was employed for 25 years.
He is survived by his Wife: Alice Anita Oertle of Carrier Mills, IL; 2 Children: Alicia (Patrick) Randolph of Marion, IL and Russell (Melissa) Ridley of Albuquerque, NM; and 2 grandchildren: Cameron and Caleb Randolph of Marion, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a special cousin: Geraldine Gillespie.
