Jack Orrill Obituary
Jack L.Orrill, 85, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at St. Anthony's Health Care Center in Alton, IL.
He was born on October 15, 1940 in Griggsville, IL to Harry and Mildred (Likes) Orrill.
Jack had worked at Amoco for over twenty years. He and his sister, Sharon, then became owner/operators of Godfrey Bus Lines. Jack enjoyed racing motorcycles for many years at many of the area tracks. He also enjoyed riding horses and going hunting. Jack will always be remembered for being a "real character." His greatest joys were spending time with his family and friends.
Jack is survived by four children, Teri Suttles of Texas, Traci Quigley of Godfrey, Jack Orrill Jr. of Godfrey, and Brian Orrill of Carlinville; a sister, Sharon Cox of Brighton; a nephew, Sean; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents; and a step-son, Sgt. Michael Robinson, who passed away in action in Iraq.
His wishes to be cremated are being handled by Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
