Mr. Jack McClellan "Mac" Owens Jr.

Jack "Mac" McClellan Owens, Jr., 47, of West Union, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at his home.

Born and raised in Newry, SC, Mac was the son of Jenny Faye Chambers Owens and the late Jack McClellan Owens. He worked as a self-employed contractor. He loved fishing, hunting, and shooting pool. Mac was an adventurous, loving, big-hearted, upfront, spontaneous, funny, and caring father, husband, son, brother, and friend to so many.

Ephesians 6:12 "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."

In addition to his mother, Mac is survived by his sons: Kurt Owens (Cheylia), Cody Owens, Kyle Owens, Danny Owens, and Heath Owens; sisters: Penny Gray (Brandon) and Stephanie Pruitt (Jason); many nieces and nephews; and the mother of his children: Mindy Owens.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Davenport Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home.
