Mrs Elizabeth Ellen Reed Sisson

Elizabeth Ellen Reed Sisson, 93, wife of 72 years to the late Charles Arthur Sisson, of Salem, SC, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Cottingham Hospice House.

Born in Detroit, MI, Mrs. Sisson was the daughter of the late Joseph Emmett and Mary Ellen Brown Reed. She worked many years as a seamstress and later as a school secretary with the Garden City School District in Michigan. After retiring, she moved south with her husband and became a faithful member of Fort Hill Presbyterian Church in Clemson, SC.

Mrs. Sisson is survived by her children: Cristine Ellen Valenti, and her husband Donald, of Colorado, Edward Arthur Sisson of Georgia, Mark Mitchell Sisson of Michigan, Carol Ann Sisson of California, and Cheryl Ann Saunders, and her husband George, of California; brother: Harry Mitchell Reed of Michigan; grandchildren: Philip Charles Valenti (Barbara Hogan), Joseph Valenti, Jennifer Renee Williams, Ann Elizabeth Sisson-Walton (Jadon), Alicia Ellen Valenti-Postelli (Chad), Mark Sisson (Kate Plague), and Amanda Marie Williams; and great-grandchildren: Chaley Danielle Jansen, Jaden Jansen, Dominic Philip Valenti, Landen Chase Parker, Noah James Walton, Amelia Grace Walton, Anthony Robert Postelli, Charlotte Elizabeth Valenti, Lucas Matthew Postelli, Sophia Ellen Valenti, Shane Robert Lomeli, and Madison Ann Caron

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Sisson was preceded in death by her grandchildren: Matthew Sisson and Cody Sisson; daughters-in-law: Linda Garbus Sisson and Kathy Clift Sisson; and brother: Joseph Layton Reed.
