Linda Sisson

1947 - 2026

Linda Sisson Elizabeth City - Linda Sisson, age 78, of Elizabeth City, NC, passed away peacefully at home on February 20, 2026. Linda was born in Cumberland, MD, the daughter of the late Robert and Isabelle Hershberger. She was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Donald.

She is survived by her son, Greg (LaToya) of Hertford, NC; her daughter, Miranda (Ryan) of Malvern, PA; her granddaughter, Lily; and her grandson, Donnie. Linda is also survived by her brother, Robert (Fran) of Middletown, DE, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Donald, she was predeceased by her parents.

Linda devoted her life to taking care of her family. She was the most loving wife, mother, and Mom Mom. Linda created a home with warmth, laughter, and endless support. She especially loved visits from her grandkids, taking the very best care of them, and happily spoiling them. She always made sure they felt comfortable, safe, and deeply loved. Linda also loved watching the Philadelphia Eagles and talking through every game with her son. Anyone lucky enough to know her knew she was the sweetest, kindest woman. Words can hardly capture the depth of her love or the light she brought into this world. Linda will be truly missed, but her love will live on in the hearts of her family and in the countless, cherished memories they shared.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
