Jack L. Oyler, Jr., 63, of Marysville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at his home.
Born on April 6, 1962, in Mechanicsburg, PA, he was the son of Donna Marie Fries and the late Jack Leroy Oyler, Sr.
In his younger years Jack attended Cedar Cliff High School in Camp Hill. He was a dedicated and skilled drywall finisher, known for his independence and strong work ethic. He previously worked with Kelly Systems, Inc. A man of curiosity and intellect, Jack enjoyed spending his free time reading, staying abreast of current events, and engaging in research on his computer. He was passionate about his home aquarium, finding joy in caring for his fish. Known for his strong-willed personality and wise advice, Jack touched many lives with his candidness and generous spirit. A true devotee of Frank Zappa, Jack carried with him a love for all types of music. His record collection and endless stories about his experiences were treasures he shared with enthusiasm, often sparking conversations that could last late into the night. Jack found joy in playing the harmonica. Whether at family gatherings, quiet evenings at home or impromptu jam sessions with friends, his music lifted spirits and left lasting memories. Jack's song may have ended but his melody will live on in the hearts of those that knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dawn R. (Carpenter) Oyler, of Marysville, PA; his mother, Donna Marie Fries of Leesburg, FL; his children, Mia M. Allison and her husband, Nickolas, of Marysville, PA, and Shane V. Oyler, of Marysville, PA; his sister, Jody L. Hoffman, of Marysville, PA; his brother, Brent R. Woodcock, of New Bloomfield, PA; his grandson, Vincent M. Allison; his stepmother, Joanne E. Oyler, of Marysville, PA; five nephews, Joe, Jake, John, Derek, and Quinn, and two nieces, Sydney and Cassidy. Jack also leaves behind his loyal grand-pets, Deemy (cat) and Biggie (Boston Terrier).
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his cherished Black Lab, Jette.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Myers-Baker Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, PA. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Friday, from 12:30 p.m. until the start of the service. Burial will be held following the service in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill, PA.
