Born January 8, 1949, in Yeadon, PA, he was the son of the late Richard Bertram Uber and Jane S. (Willi) Uber. Richard was the loving husband of Miriam R. (Paul) Uber, with whom he just celebrated 58 years of marriage.
He attended Cedar Cliff High School and went on to own and operate Uber's Repair Shop, where he worked as both a skilled mechanic and the trusted business owner. He was a devote member of the Bible Baptist Church in Shiremanstown. Above all, Richard will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, especially tending to his many flower beds.
In addition to his wife, Miriam, he will be remembered by his son, Richard "Rick" Uber and wife Lynda; his daughter, Marie Ramalho and husband Lou; his 5 grandchildren, Luke Ramalho and Sarafina Neubert and husband Ainslie, Ryley Uber, Jared Uber and wife Jessica, and Emily Uber and fiancé Matt Pauley; his 2 great-grandchildren, Julien and Judah; and his 2 sisters, Carol Shaw and husband Tom, and Linda Young and husband Ed.
Services will be held at 4:00 PM on October 10, 2025 at the Bible Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to his church, Bible Baptist Church, 201 W Vine St., Shiremanstown, PA 17011.
