Donald E. McClory, 99, of Harrisburg, formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Kindred Place in Harrisburg. Born on February 9, 1927, in Dracut, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late James and Bessie (Crowell) McClory.

Donald was the devoted husband of the late Diana (Watts) McClory, with whom he shared 45 loving years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with commitment, companionship, and cherished memories.

Donald was a proud United States Navy veteran who honorably served his country during World War II. He had a lifelong love of baseball and was an avid fan of both the Chicago Cubs and the Boston Red Socks. He also enjoyed spending time on the golf course, where he was especially proud of his hole-in-one, appreciating both the sport and the camaraderie it brought.

Above all, Donald treasured his family. He especially loved playing UNO with his grandchildren-moments filled with laughter, friendly competition, and memories that will be cherished for years to come.

He leaves behind his daughters, Wendy Merryman and husband Dane, and Pamela Wesley and husband Tony; his 6 grandchildren, D. Grey, Kelsey, Melanie, Laura, Lisa, and Julie; his 9 great-grandchildren, Charlie, Robert, Marshall, Bennett, Charlotte, Lauren, Jack, Sophie, and Abby; and several nieces; nephews; and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his 2 sisters, Mildred Gauthier, and Betty Surrette; and his 2 brothers, James McClory and Robert McClory.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital; 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, Inc., 7790 Grayson Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
