Jack Homer Pearson Jr. passed away on December 11, 2025, in
Katy, Texas. He is survived by his daughter, Marcia Lynn Walker; daughter-in-law, Patricia Pearson Collins (Robbie); and his granddaughters, Kristin Burks (Brent), Lauren Picard (Scott), Robyn Woods (Brian), Katie Collins, and Emma Pearson Garza (Anthony). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren. Jack is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth Studdard and Faye Parker. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Jackie Pearson, and his son, Jack (Jay) Homer Pearson III.
Jack was born on February 22, 1935, in
Birmingham, Alabama, to Jack and Aileen Pearson. He was a proud graduate of the University of Alabama, Class of 1963. Jack worked as a financial analyst for Shell Oil Company until his retirement in 1995. During his time with Shell, his career took him to Malaysia, Syria, and Israel. In 1979, he moved his family to
Katy, Texas, where he became a charter member of Kingsland Baptist Church.
After retirement, Jack devoted his time to his church and family. He served on numerous committees, and his wise counsel will be deeply missed. He was also a member of the Serendipity Sunday School class.
Jack was a devoted grandfather and later a great-grandfather. Known as "Granddaddy," he attended more sporting events, dance recitals, and family activities than most of us can remember. Jack was the patriarch of many family beach vacations to destinations such as Gulf Shores and Panama City.
Later in life, Jack became the primary caregiver for his bride, Jackie, as her health declined. He was the ultimate example that true love endures. The world was a better place because of his faith in Christ, his honesty, and his compassion. We are better people for having crossed paths with Jack Pearson.
Today, Jack is healed and reunited with his beloved Jackie and son, Jay.
"Well done, good and faithful servant."
