Jack Richardson Obituary
Published by Legacy on Nov. 10, 2025.
Jack Donald Richardson, Jr. passed away peacefully in his home on November 8th, 2025, just 9 days shy of his 70th birthday. He was an avid deer and turkey hunter, so we find it fitting that his passing came on the first day of the deer hunting season.
Jack, the oldest of seven children, was born to Jack Sr. and Ruth (Rauen) Richardson on November 17th, 1955. After graduating from St. Henry High School, he started his working years in construction and helped build many homes, offices and schools still utilized by people to this day. From there, he was a manager for United Dairy Farmers until joining the team at Cintas Uniforms. Jack retired from Cintas after a long and successful career, wherein many of those he first called customers became lifelong friends.
His sister-in-law Jenny set up a blind date for him and luck was on his side because that is where he met Amy, his wife of 26 years. Together, they welcomed their son, Cole, and he made their lives brighter as a family of three. Though Jack would never admit it, he also dearly loved the pets who warmed their home over the years and relished their company until the very end.
Even as his health declined Jack was a fighter and wanted to do jobs he had no business attempting. So instead he taught his wife and son how to use his power tools and fix things around the house. In this and in other ways he was quite the teacher; between the catalog of history facts stored in his brain and the countless life lessons he taught his son, there was never a dull moment with him. Jack found ways to make mundane tasks like painting a wall seem fun and fulfilling, with plenty of sarcastic jokes to add to the good honest work.
Since his retirement, he spent many of his days at home relaxing in his recliner, where his most favorite activities were cheering on the UK Wildcats, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Cincinnati Reds. When a game wasn't happening, he enjoyed watching game shows, the news and old westerns with his nephew Charlie.
Jack is enjoying heaven with his mother Ruth, sister Diane, brother-in-law Jerry, aunt Sr. Rose Rauen, uncle Mel Meyers, sister-in-law Sharon, his uncle Timmy, and both sets of grandparents. Along with hunting, he's probably training his family dog Abby and family cat Leo how to track deer, duck, turkey, and any other prey animal he could use to cook a masterful feast up in the great beyond.
He was an amazing man who will be missed more than we could possibly explain. Jack is survived by his wife Amy, his son Cole, his father Jack Sr., brothers Greg, Ron (Robin), Dave (Jenny), and Shawn (Becky), his sister Renee (Larry), his many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews, his in-laws and many dear friends. We look forward to seeing him again some day. Details for a Celebration of Jack's life will be announced soon.
