MORTON – Jack D. Robinson, 94, of Morton, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born on February 17, 1932, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to William Thomas and Minnie Belle (James) Robinson. Jack married Alberta L. Bogard on July 28, 1950, in Peoria, Illinois. She preceded him in death on September 11, 2019. He was also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Vickie Brewer-Robinson; brother, Kenneth Robinson; and two sisters, Grace Richardson and Pauline Taylor.

Surviving are his daughter, Jackie (Alan) Hennis of East Peoria, Illinois; sons, Scott Robinson of Morton and Curt (Jackie Ann) Robinson of Winfield, Illinois; grandchildren, Wesley Robinson, Whitney (Jeff) Klinke, Jeffrey (Erica) Robinson, Christopher (Amanda) Robinson and Emily (Adam) Salowitz; and great-grandchildren, Reese, Finn, Nolan, Isabella, Owen and Spencer Jackson.

Jack worked as a welder for Caterpillar retiring after 32 years in 1986. After retiring, he opened Robinson Autobody, and then later worked at the Illinois Antique Center.

He was a member of East Peoria Church of Christ and the NRA. Jack enjoyed watching Nascar and St. Louis Cardinals.

If you knew him, you couldn't help but fall in love with him. He lit up a room with his smile and his kind words would leave an impact on your heart and your life.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Fondulac Cemetery on Monday, March 2, 2026 at 9 a.m.

Memorials may be made to East Peoria Church of Christ or American Cancer Society.
