Jack L. Schlarb, 94, of North Liberty passed away peacefully reunited with his wife in heaven on Friday October 18, 2024, at his home.
Jack was born on September 21, 1930, in Lakeville to the late Herbert and Ina Belle (Howell) Schlarb.
Jack attended Lakeville High School where he met his future bride; Margaret Patnaude. The two were married on June 17, 1950, in Lakeville, enjoying 73 years of marriage before her passing in October of 2023.
Jack was a farmer. He was a man of quiet convictions- he loved his family and his Lord. He was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lakeville.
Jack is survived by his daughters; Jacqueline (Frank) Imbro of Elkhart and Kathryn (Troy) Hyndman of Elkhart, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings; Lois Ann Blachley of Mishawaka and Dale (Joan) Schlarb of South Bend.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, his parents; Herbert and Ina Belle Schlarb, his son; Michael Schlarb, and his great-grandson Scotty Imbro.
Visitation for Jack will be held from 11am-1pm on Thursday October 24, 2024, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 63568 IN-931 South Bend. A mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1 pm with burial following at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice Care 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka IN 46545 or to the church, Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, P. O. Box 2528, South Bend, IN 46680
