Jack Schmitt Obituary
A Celebration of Jack's Life will be held from 12:30 to 3pm Saturday, January 17th at Chili Corners.
Jack was born December 16, 1990 in Marshfield to James and Shirley (Geldernick) Schmitt. He attended local schools, graduating from Marshfield Senior High in 2009. While in high school he was active in the football program and was invited to help represent Wisconsin at a football match in Australia while he was a student. Following his education he found work as a machine operator at Forte, recently celebrating 10 years there. Jack enjoyed the creature comforts of home, his cats, and especially his dearest Liz. He was an avid reader and was also known to patronize Buffalo Wild Wings.
Jack is survived by his mother Shirley Schmitt of Chili, brother Cody Schmitt of Marshfield, and his partner Liz Korpal at home. He is also survived by his cats Zenny and Chuck, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father James Schmitt in 2016; uncles Jeff Schmitt and Dick Geldernick; and grandparents Jim & Shirley Schmitt, and Tuffy & Darleen Geldernick

Jack you will be truly missed watched you grow up off and on through out your life.That beautiful smile you and Cody always had, just lit up the room when either of you entered.An awesome trait that was handed down from your beautiful mother.Enjoy spending time with your dad and relation in heaven.At some point and time hopefully we will all be together again in a much better place.Your strong little brother will do a fantastic job being there for your mother to help her somehow cope with this tragic loss. Cody always filled me in with family updates always looked so forward to our conversations.Have to thank your parents and especially your mom for including Kathy and I as part of your friends over the years.Love all of you and wish you nothing but the best in the mending of your heart and your loss
