Jack Tatham Obituary

Jack Tatham, 87, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2024, at Testa Hospice House.
Born in Andrews, N.C., he was the son of the late Rowland and Alberta Tatham.
Jack was a member and deacon at the church he loved, Pleasant City Church. He worked for Fluor-Daniels Construction for 28 years. He loved woodworking, fishing, hunting, the mountains and the Atlanta Braves.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Kenneth Hobgood; sisters, Jeanett West and Janice Waldroup; and brothers, Jim Tatham and Joe Tatham.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Joyce Tatham; daughters, Felicia Mcilmail and husband John of Belmont and Cindy Settle and husband David of Shelby; sisters, Judy Dukes of Andrews and Jane Waters of Shelby; brothers, Jerry Tatham and wife Shirley of Andrews; grandchildren, Nikki Falls (Hunter), Suefan Hobgood and Michelle Hines (Bryan); great-grandchildren, Devon Weathers (Jared Triplett), Gunnar Weathers, Ella Hobgood, Rollan Dobert, Zeppelin Hobgood, and Harlow Johnson; and great-great-granddaughter, Ellison Triplett.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home in Shelby, N.C., with the Rev. Bryan Glisson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
