Jackie (Jack) Taylor life-long resident of Warren County passed away in his home on June 2, 2024 in Williamsport, Indiana.  


He was born in rural Williamsport, Indiana on March 11, 1932 to Herman and Delta (Roderick) Taylor, graduated from West Lebanon High School in 1950, Jack served in the US Army with the 3rd Armored Division at Fort Knox, Kentucky from 1952 - 1954.  He attended Purdue Agricultural short course from Purdue in 1956. He served as trustee for Steuben township, Warren County from 1962 - 1970. He was a member of the Rock Church in Danville, Illinois. Jack was a retired grain and livestock farmer.

Jack married Janet Kay Frankeberger of Veedersburg, Indiana on April 7, 1957. Jack is survived by his wife of 67 years, Janet; son David (Barb) Taylor, Williamsport; daughter in law Connie Taylor, Williamsport;  daughter Lori (Todd) Collins, Williamsport; grandchildren Tina (Jason) Mullins, Elizabeth (Tim) Fowler, Rachel (Jacob) Day, Caleb Taylor, Levi (Teo) Taylor, Sean Weiser, Harley Taylor, Victoria (Jordan) Hicks, Lydia (Lucas) Schweinsberg, Hannah (Nick) McGowen, several great and great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by sisters Clara (Ron) Crawford, Monticello; Carolyn (Bill) Hale, Covington; Lois Hensley, Covington; and Linda (Ralph) Burmeister, Danville, IL.

Jack was preceded in death by son Jerry Taylor; his parents, Herman and Delta Taylor, brothers Vernon Taylor, Calvin Taylor, Joe Taylor, sisters Dora Lou Taylor, Alice Hutchison, Barbara Rowe, Dorothy Hougland, Edith Dennis Davis.   

Funeral Service will be held at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport, Indiana 2:00 PM (EDT) Saturday June 8, 2024 with Pastor Randy Downing and Pastor Rick Miller officiating.  Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 PM (EDT) Saturday June 8, 2024 at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport. Burial with Military Honors will be at West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Rock Church or your favorite charity. Online condolences at www.gradyfuneralhome.com
