Jack L. Thomas, 73, of Dixon, IL, passed away at his home peacefully, with family by his side.
Jack married Jeanne (Pitchford) on February 14, 1982. They shared 44 years of marriage and together raised two children, Jackson and Jennifer. Jack was a devoted husband and father, and his greatest joy came from being a grandfather to Kayleigh Lynn and Kenzie Jean Thomas, daughters of Jackson and Angie Thomas, and Ava Ilene and Rowan William Gilmore, children of Jennifer and Chad Gilmore.
Jack is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne; his children, Jackson (Angie), Jennifer (Chad); four grandchildren, Kayleigh, Kenzie, Ava, Rowan; sisters, Pam Thomas of Eugene, OR, Jodi Thomas-Vance; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Donna (Bellows) Thomas; and brothers, James and Rusty Thomas.
Jack worked 35 years in the printing industry before continuing in manufacturing. He enjoyed time on the river, trips to the gun range, caring for his yard, was a proud supporter of Donald Trump, and an avid Chicago Bears fan. Jack will be deeply missed and remembered for his quiet strength, steady presence, and deep devotion to his family.
A Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon, with Pastor Michael Donoho, officiating. Burial will be to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
