Donna Thomas Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dunn-Givnish Funeral Home on Feb. 2, 2026.
Donna Ruth (Willits) Thomas passed away on January 29, 2026, surrounded by love and a lifetime of memories well-traveled. She was 79 years old.

Born on January 13, 1947, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Donna was the daughter of Jack Raymond and Alma Ruth (McCormick) Willits. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, H. Clayton Thomas; her brother, Rick Willits; and her in-laws, Harry and Carolyn (Crompton) Thomas.

Donna is survived by her four daughters, Kirstie Thomas (Cyde), Kari Thomas, Kami Miller, and Kori Thomas. She was a proud grandmother to Steven (Elizabeth), Maddie, Cyrus, Jack, and Tucker. A loving great-grandmother to Stevie, Sofia, and Skarlett. She also leaves behind many dear friends, including Dolly Schaffer and Larry Langhans, as well as her treasured New Zealand family, Vicky, Greg, Courtney, and Jake Walker, and countless others whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

Donna graduated from Lycoming College and married the love of her life, H. Clayton Thomas. Together, they made their home in Langhorne Borough, a place Donna loved deeply and served faithfully for more than five decades. She lived and worked in the borough for 54 years, owning and caring for a historic building that reflected her passion for preservation and community. Donna helped create the Langhorne Environmental Action Committee, contributed to the Langhorne Ghost Tours, and was an active member of the Langhorne Rotary club, Langhorne Borough Business Association and the Historic Association.

Donna's professional legacy was equally remarkable. She spent more than 53 years in the travel industry and carried forward a three-generation legacy of Will Travel, Inc., along with several other travel-related companies that she nurtured with vision, determination, and heart. Her passion for travel was infectious and authentic as she passed that love to her daughters. She was recognized as Travel Agent of the Year by Travel Trade Magazine in 1991, an award-winning agent for NZ from Conde Nast, was an active member of ASTA, and was a featured and keynote speaker at numerous travel industry events. Donna made a lasting impact on tourism, particularly in New Zealand, a country she loved dearly and visited often, forming lifelong friendships along the way.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Donna was known for her compassion and gentle spirit. She had a special passion for rescuing senior West Highland Terriers, giving older dogs comfort, dignity, and love in their final years. She adored penguins and traveled to their natural habitat multiple times, finding joy and wonder in the natural world.

A spiritual person throughout her life, Donna was a lifelong member of Scottsville United Methodist Church. Her faith, generosity, curiosity, acceptance, and warmth shaped the way she lived and the way she loved.

Donna's legacy is one of adventure, service, kindness, and connection. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Family and friends are invited to Donna's Life Celebration on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 12:00-1:30pm at Scottsville United Methodist Church, 2400 Brownsville Rd, Langhorne, PA 19053. Her Memorial Service will follow at 1:30pm.

In lieu of flowers and in honor of her love for her community, donations may be made to the Historic Langhorne Association, 160 W. Maple Avenue, Langhorne, PA 19047 (historiclanghorne.org/).
