Karl was born November 14, 1962 in Abington, PA to Richard and Beatrice Margraff. He graduated from Archbishop Wood High School Class of 1981 and earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Scranton. He furthered his education by obtaining his Masters of Engineering and Project Management Certification. Karl worked for over 40 years as an Electrical Engineer initially supporting Nexrad Weather Radar, Aegis Weapons Systems and most recently as a Program Manager for Veterans Affairs.
Outside of his professional life, Karl found joy in many things. He was an avid reader with a love of history and science, a traveler who loved exploring new places. He found fulfillment in woodworking, sailing, cooking and baking. Above all Karl treasured time spent with his family, whether at home or adventures together. His happiest moments were those shared with the people he loved most.
Those left to honor his memory include his spouse of 30 years, Jacalyn; his children Jim Fortino and Katie (Wesley) Potts; his three granddaughters who were the joy of his life, Hayley, Brooklyn and Violet; and his daughter in law Anne Marie Richards. He also leaves behind his mother, Beatrice, his siblings, Beth (Fran) Schneider, Rick, Barbara, sister-in-law, Susan and many nieces and nephews. Karl was preceded in death by his father, Richard and his brother Mark.
Family and friends are invited to Karl's Life Celebration from 10:00-11:15am on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Dunn-Givnish Life Celebration Home, 378 South Bellevue Avenue, Langhorne, PA 19047. His Memorial Service will follow at 11:15am.

I wish to convey my deepest sympathy to Karls wife Jacalyn, his children and grandchildren his mother Betrice (Betty) to the extended Margarff families on his recent passing. It was with much regreat I read of his death. Ann Rutledge Corballa, Via Ballina Co. Sligo Aircode F26TW42 Ireland.
