John Oustrich Obituary

John A. Oustrich, 88, husband of the late Josephine R. "Jo" (Zondlo) Oustrich of Elverson, PA formerly of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

Born on May 26, 1937 in Taylor, PA he was the son of the late John and Josephine (Lisowski) Oustrich.

John dedicated his life to education, earning his Bachelor's degree from Bloomsburg University and his Master's degree from the University of Scranton. He served as a Teacher and Principal at Upper Merion Middle School and then at Upper Merion High School, profoundly impacting the lives of many students.

John was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Chester Springs and former member of St. Basil the Great Catholic Church.

His commitment to community extended to serving as an Assistant Scout Master for Troop 158 in Kimberton, PA, and he had a passion for golf.

He is survived by his 4 children:

Jocelyn wife of Edward Little;

John Jay husband of Loretta Oustrich;

Jeff husband of Kelly Oustrich;

Jamie Oustrich.

6 Grandchildren, Nolan husband of Stefanie Little, Jillian Little, Paige Oustrich, Chloe Oustrich, Caitlin Oustrich, and Colin Oustrich.

Brothers and sister, Paul husband of Ann Oustrich, Joanne Perrige, and George husband of Jackie Oustrich.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass in St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 2340 Kimberton Road, Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 11:00 am.

Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.

A visitation will be held in church on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in John's name.
