Jack Ward Thomas, was the best supervisor I ever had. He was also a good friend and valued colleague. During the 12 years I worked for him, he was always fair, supportive, encouraging, and available to discuss any problems. Challenges and big problems were his lifeblood and his ideas, expertise, and energy were boundless. A friend once asked my wife Sharon what Jack Thomas was like and she said there was only one word to describe him: "awesome." Sharon and I will always cherish the time we were blessed to spend with him and his family.
