Jack Turner, 96, of Cowpens, SC, went home to be with the Lord, January 13, 2026, at Blue Ridge in Brookview House in Gaffney, SC. He was the son of the late Will and Myrtle Turner.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Jackie A. Alawi (Rev. Nassar) of Cowpens, SC, Nancy White (Scott) of Alabama, Bobby Turner of Alabama, and Julie Haupt (Dennis) of Alabama. Along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosa Forrester Turner, his second wife Easter Turner, and a son David Wayne Turner.
A native of Marshall County, Alabama, he proudly served his country during World War II in the US Army, spending time in Okinawa. He loved the Lord, was a member of True Direction Church of God, enjoyed going to the Cherokee County Senior Center, loved his family, doing word searches, watching westerns and was a truck driver by trade.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
Inurnment will be in the Bethel Cemetery in Scottsboro, Alabama at a later date.
The family will be at their respective homes.
Memorials may be made to the Cherokee County Senior Center, 499 W. Rutledge Ave., Gaffney, SC 29341
