Jack Weiss 91, passed away December 20, 2025, at his home in Magna, Utah.
He was born on January 21, 1934 in Salt Lake City to Vernon Loy Weiss and Lucinda Hastings. Jack married Helen Margaret Miettenen on October 18, 1956 in Garfield, Utah.
Jack served in the United States Army from October 1956 to October 1958. He retired from Kennecott after 30 years. He worked as a bailiff in Salt Lake City and Midvale. Jack enjoyed golfing and gardening. He loved to travel with Helen.
He is survived by his children, Randy Weiss, Steve Weiss, and Jackie Johnson (Richard); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two siblings, and the love of his life Helen.
A viewing will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home. 8525 West Magna Main St.
A viewing will held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 from 10-10:45 with a funeral to follow at 11:00am. LDS Chapel at 3606 Wing Point Drive, Magna, Utah.
Interment will be at the Valley View Memorial Park in West Valley City following the funeral.
