Jack Whatley, native of Columbus, Ohio who resided his entire life in Columbus, was given to us by God on January 29, 1959. Jack advanced from this earth to live eternal life with our creator on February 27, 2025 at the age of 66. He will always be remembered by all of his family and friends.

Jack graduated from Columbus Public Schools and later graduated from the Circleville Bible College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. Jack later retired from The Ohio State University and then dedicated the rest of his life serving God and helping anyone in need that he was able to assist.

Jack was a loyal son, brother, cousin, uncle, brother-in-law, neighbor and friend, and would give his heart to everyone else who knew him. If he didn't have anything material to give, he would give his heart and lead you in the direction of God. He would give you the gift of God every day.

Jack was preceded in the order of the home coming by his, [mother] Minnie B. Whatley, [father] Andrew Whatley, [sister] Gertrude I. Whatley (Sheppard), [brother] Michael A. Whatley Sr, and a multitude of uncles, aunts, cousins and other family members and friends.

Jack is survived by his [brother] Kenneth E. Whatley Sr., [brother] Larry D. Whatley Sr. (Gwen), and Ronald L. Whatley Sr. (ShaTonya) and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, friends and neighbors.

The Whatley Family would like to invite friends and family to pay their respect to Jack on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for visitation. Funeral Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Diehl Whittaker Funeral Service, 1370 E. Main St. Columbus Ohio 43205.

Jack will be laid to rest at about 12:00 noon at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Ave. Columbus, Ohio 43223. Instead of bringing a covered dish, a repass will follow immediately after the funeral services at nearby Golden Corral, 2005 Stringtown Rd., Grove City, Ohio 43123, at your own expense.

Thank you and may God bless you.
