I did not have either him or his wife as teachers when I went to Mt.Zion but remember seeing them in the halls over the years.Graduate of '86.Laterr in the 90's until it closed in 2008 I remember this very special couple as regular customers when I worked at the Arby's in South Shores. They always had smiling faces.Sending 's to his family & friends.

I loved Mr. & Mrs. Wickline, both for being good teachers (we razzed Mr. Wickline WAY too much, because we were rotten kids), and for being good leaders with our Scholastic Bowl team at Mt. Zion Jr. High, circa 1980-82. Mrs. Wickline's sweet, matter-of-fact manner of speaking and her sort-of giggle, indulging us by laughing at (most of) our stupid jokes, and Mr. Wickline's booming voice and slightly impish look in his eyes when we got him to telling a story---his chuckle was priceless. He always reminded me of Fred MacMurray somehow.
Y'all (I switch to 2nd person Southern plural) were good travelers, too, riding the bus to Bowl meets and competitions with Miss Marilyn Lambert and all of us kids. You didn't have to be so dedicated, but you were. Mrs. Wickline, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know my team-mates who may not be aware of Jack's passing would echo my sentiments. Your loss is Heaven's gain, and when I get there, by Christ's grace alone, I look forward to the many reunions, including with my believing school chums and teachers. My wife Kara and I will be praying for you and your family in this time of loss. May the God of all comfort wrap His arms around you and hold you close. Love, Matt & Kara Underwood, formerly of Mt. Zion/Decatur and currently of Mt. Washington, KY.
