William D. Miteff

William D. Miteff, 98, of Grayslake, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026. Bill was born to James and Bojana Miteff on February 22,1928 in Waukegan, IL. He was educated at Waukegan High School and the University of Illinois. He was a proud Army Veteran and avid member of Kiwanis, Jaycees, and The Knights of Columbus. He was a lifelong member at both Immaculate Conception Church in Waukegan and St. Joseph's Church in Libertyville. He retired with Koch Industries. We were blessed with many years together and he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his children, Jeanne, Deborah, Diane, and James. Grandchildren include Hope, Holly, and Heidi Stimac & Vincent, Isabella, and Nate Miteff along with Noelle Schillinger. He became a great-grandfather with the birth of Lucas William, to parents, Holly and Mirza Bajramovic five months ago. He is preceded in death by his wife Joan (Havertape) Miteff and sister Olga Miteff.

A private celebration of life will be held for immediate family by McMurrough Funeral Chapel (847) 362-2626. Prayers are always welcome.
