Vida Djuric Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, LTD. on Mar. 30, 2026.
Vida Djuric, 61, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at her home in Trevor, Wisconsin.

She was born on June 15, 1964, in Kljuic, Yugoslavia, and came to the United States with her family in 1975, settling in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Vida was a former longtime resident of Grayslake, Illinois, and had made Trevor her home for the past 25 years.

Vida was a devoted member of the Orthodox community where her faith was an important part of her life. She had a deep love for her Serbian culture, history, music, and dance. Her home was always filled with music. She dedicated 31 years of her career to Abbott Laboratories before her retirement.

She will be fondly remembered for her big heart, for being a true friend and a social butterfly who cherished spending time with family and friends especially while sharing a cup of coffee. Vida's greatest treasure were her children Tanja and Petar and her grandchildren Max and Enzo. There was nothing that made her happier than spending time with them and seeing their smiling faces.

Vida is survived by her loving husband, Slobodan (Steve) Djuric; her two children, Tanja (Michael) Styx and Petar (fiancee Justyna) Djuric; her two grandchildren, Max and Enzo; her mother, Gospova Dragic, her two sisters, Nada (Rade) Popovic and Snjezana (Marinko) Novakovic; her brother, Milan (Christine) Dragic; her nieces, nephews, Kumovi and family near and far. She was preceded in death by her father Bosko Dragic and brother Milorad Dragic

Vida's warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 32377 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Libertyville. Interment will follow at St. Sava Cemetery. For info: 847-362-3009 or share a memory at www.burnettdane.com (http://www.burnettdane.com/).
