Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Jack Wilson, age. 80 of Commerce, Georgia who entered rest Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

Mr. Wilson was born in Jefferson, Georgia, to the late Arthur Henry Wilson and Gurlie Duncan Wilson. He attended Jefferson High School and after high school he served with honor in the United State National Guard, demonstrating his commitment to his country. He will be celebrated with a graveside service that will include military honors, a testament to his dedication and sacrifice during his tenure. After his service in the United States National Guard, he began a career in sales at Fowler Products where he quickly distinguished himself not just as a dealmaker, but as a genuine relationship builder. His ability to connect with people from all walks of life, together with his insightful understanding of their needs, led him to travel extensively across the world. He saw more of the world than most dream of, turning business trips into opportunities for cultural engagement and new friendships. After his retirement, he began a second career at Fowler Office Supply.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judy Jackson Wilson; daughter, Tammy Wilson Bruce; son, Rod Wilson (Kirklyn); granddaughter, Hillary Wilson Shields (Kevin); grandsons, Clark Hamilton Wilson Bruce (Madison) and Jaxon Hank Wilson. Great grandchildren, Wilson Carter Shields and Whitlee Mae Shields. Sister, Yvonne Wilson Geisler, and brother, Herbert Wilson.

The family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Home on Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Graveside services will began at 3:00 p.m. at Jackson Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jeff Williams officiating.
