Jackie Atchley

Jackie Annelle Brooks Atchley of White, Georgia passed from this earth and into the arms of Jesus at the age of 83. Mrs. Atchley was born in Rome, Georgia on December 29, 1941 to the late Henry Brooks and the late Vergie Swinford. In additions to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lee Hunter whom she married in 1958; her son Charlie Joe Hunter; daughter Cindy Greenway; and her husband J.C. Atchley whom she married in 1994.
Mrs. Atchley was a lifelong supporter and member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and attended numerous conventions over the years.
She leaves behind her children, Billy Wayne Hunter, Teresa Annelle Gainor, and Vicky Lynn Hunter; step children Sheila Guyton and Dennis Atchley; as well as six grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm on Friday, August 1, 2025 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Zachary Mulkey officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
