It was truly a pleasure to be one of the teacher of her sons. Mrs. Cornett was a firecracker-pure dynamite, just as Pastor Buster so perfectly described her. She was a fierce and unwavering supporter of her children and a woman who stood firmly for justice.
Mrs. Cornett impacted my life and my career in ways she may never have fully known. Through her encouragement, advocacy, and tangible support, she helped me survive some very challenging seasons. I am deeply grateful for her contributions, her strength, and her bold spirit.
We take comfort in knowing that "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:21) is the greeting she has surely received. Mrs. Cornett fought the good fight, stood boldly for her children, and left this world better than she found it. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may God continue to strengthen and comfort her family.
