Jackie Bullock Hicks, age 63, of Wake Forest, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Born on July 8, 1962, in Wake County, she was the daughter of the late Bobby Liles Bullock and Alice Winstead Bullock.
Jackie was a respected entrepreneur, having owned and operated a successful telecommunications business for over 20 years.
She was known for her dynamic personality, her sharp wit, and her humorous spirit, which endeared her to all who knew her.
A true family woman at heart, Jackie placed her children at the very center of her world, demonstrating an unwavering dedication to their growth and happiness.
Jackie found joy tending to her plants. She was exceptionally creative, with her last craft project involving the painting of rocks with inspirational quotes—a testament to her artistic talent and her desire to spread positivity.
Throughout her illness, Jackie remained determined and worked tirelessly, showcasing her strength and resilience. She found peace in the simple comforts of home, particularly in the soft glow of candles and lamps, which reflected her love for cozy surroundings.
An excellent cook, Jackie took great pleasure in cooking for her family and friends, creating moments of togetherness and enjoyment.
Preceding her in death, alongside her parents; Jackie was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Bullock who the family lovingly nick named Junior
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for her family, including her daughter, Tonya Nicole Drollinger and son-in-law Don, of Raleigh, NC; her son, Jeremy Liles Hicks, of Wake Forest, NC; her granddaughter, Lily Drollinger of Raleigh, NC; and her sisters, Renae Perrett of Surf City, NC, and Vicky Short, along with her husband Jim, of Raleigh, NC.
In honor of Jackie's wishes, there will be no formal services at this time.
The family extends their gratitude for the thoughts and prayers offered during this difficult period and asks that you remember Jackie for the light and joy she brought into the world.
Her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
