Services for Mr. Jackie “Jack” Smith, 84, of Argyle, are scheduled for 1 p.m., Friday, October 10, 2025, at Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline, with Mike McFarlin officiating.
Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.
Mr. Smith passed away on September 28, 2025, in Denton. He was born on January 13, 1941, in Grand Saline to Jack and Eva Lee Smith.
Jack grew up in Grand Saline and graduated from Grand Saline High School with the Class of 1959. On April 22, 1961, he married his high school sweetheart, Glenda Lewis, in Grand Saline. He went on to graduate from the University of North Texas in 1965.
For most of his life, Jack made his home in Arlington before moving to Argyle 17 years ago. He proudly owned and operated Arlington Visual Communication for 47 years. Outside of work, he loved fishing, traveling, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. He was also a member of Pantego Bible Church in Arlington.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Steven Keith Smith; sisters, Jacqueleen Walker and Juadean Nolan; and his father- and mother-in-law, Lloyd and Allie Lewis.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Glenda Smith of Argyle; daughter, Michelle Shannon and husband Wally of Ft. Worth; daughter-in-law, Amanda Smith of Ft. Worth; brother, David Smith and wife Melissa of Grand Saline; two sisters, Edwyna Rumbo of Terrell, and Janie French of Winston-Salem, NC; sister-in-law, Elaine Jennings of North Richland Hills; grandchild, Grady Shannon; nieces and nephews, Scott Rowe and wife Kerri, and their children, Carli Reed and husband Jon and Connor Rowe, Blake Smith and wife Chantae and their daughter, Addi, Cheryl Davis, Jimmy Busbee, Johnny Busbee, Sandy Wade, and Vickie Taylor; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Wally Shannon, Grady Shannon, Scott Rowe, David Smith, Blake Smith, and Nick Roppolo.
Honorary pallbearers will be Connor Rowe, and Jon Reed.
Memorials may be made to Woodside Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 543, Grand Saline, Texas, 75140.
